Holiday Rentals
Holiday Rental Tax & Compliance in Lanzarote

Owning a holiday rental property in Lanzarote can be a great investment, but it also comes with Spanish and Canary Islands tax obligations.
At Bermejo Patrimonial, we help international property owners understand, organise and file their holiday rental tax returns clearly and on time.
If you rent out your property in Lanzarote as a holiday home, you may need to declare the rental income in Spain, even if you are not tax resident in Spain.
Holiday rental owners often need to deal with different obligations: rental income tax, property use records, owner calendars, platform income reports, invoices, and in some cases Canary Islands IGIC obligations.
Our role is to make the process easier. We review your situation, organise the figures, calculate the tax position and help you comply with the relevant filing deadlines.
Helping international owners manage holiday rental tax obligations with clarity and confidence.

For non-resident rental income declared through Modelo 210, the Spanish Tax Agency states that, for rental income accrued from 2024 onwards, the grouping period changed from quarterly to annual, with the filing and payment deadline generally falling within the first 20 calendar days of January of the following year.
For Canary Islands IGIC, Modelo 420 is generally filed during the first 20 calendar days of the month following the quarterly period, with the fourth quarter filed during January of the following year. The annual IGIC summary, Modelo 425, is filed during January of the following year together with the last IGIC return.
